Joan Meier, GW Professor of Clinical Law and Director of the National Family Violence Law Center, will be presenting at the International Coercive Control Conference on Friday evening from 8:00-9:15 pm ET.
Professor Meier’s session, “Post-Separation Abuse in the Courts” will also feature Nancy S. Erickson, attorney and consultant. The discussion will focus on bridging their ideas "in order to bust prevailing myths about how fathers, mothers and children really fare under family law."
The entirety of the International Coercive Control Conference will take place on October 1st and 2nd, where panelists will “share their expertise, insights, and recommendations on how we can define coercive control, recognize it and its dramatic impacts, and respond with solutions that center on systemic change and accountability.”
