"Sustained Conversation Groups (SCG) are peer-led and facilitated, bring together faculty, staff, and administrators, and normally run for 1-2 years. Participants commit to regular small group meetings to discuss topics of interest throughout the year. SCG discussions allow participants to learn from one another's experiences and provide an opportunity to share resources while building relationships with others across the network."

2025-2026 Sustained Conversation Groups:

  • Building a Better Future: Developing strategies for placing community engagement at the institutional center
  • Graduate Student Community Engaged Scholarship: Exploring approaches, models and resources for supporting graduate student-driven programs
  • Civic and Community Engagement Certificates, Minors, and Distinction Programs: Exploring development of programs and effective approaches
  • Communications Professionals in Community Engagement: A dedicated space for communications professionals

Network Action Groups focus on producing tangible outcomes such as shared resources, publications, or actionable recommendations:

  • Equity Centered Community Engaged Research
  • Metrics of Accountability
  • Cultivating Community Voice & Resourcing Partners
  • Documenting the Existing Higher Education Landscape
