New Seed Grant Opportunity: Connecting Climate Change and Health Research

The REACH Center, a newly established NIH-funded climate and health exploratory center, has announced its inaugural seed grant competition for innovative research projects connecting climate change data with health outcomes. This exciting opportunity brings together researchers from George Washington University, Howard University, George Mason University, and the Environmental Defense Fund in a multi-institutional partnership.

Grant Categories and Funding

Two types of grants are available:

  • Research grants up to $40,000
  • Developmental grants up to $20,000

Key Dates

  • Letter of Intent Deadline: December 1, 2024
  • Full Proposal Deadline: January 15, 2025

What Makes a Strong Proposal?

The REACH Center is seeking interdisciplinary collaboration, with each proposal team required to include:

  • At least two researchers from different disciplines.
  • A community partner.
