November 8-10: 7th Community-based Global Learning Summit

The 7th Community-based Global Learning Summit will be held November 8-10, 2024, at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) in Worcester, MA. This event, hosted by WPI's Global School, focuses on aligning pedagogy with outcomes that advance justice, inclusion, and sustainability globally. View the full program and register here.

The summit will feature a diverse range of presentations and case studies, including:

1. Supporting Decolonial and Ethical Climate Adaptation Partnerships in the US Caribbean
2. Working Towards Shared Leadership in Community Engagement: A Gullah-Geechee Case Study
3. Migrant Lives and Labor in the Upper Valley: Connections with Local Dairy Farms and Migrant Farm Workers
4. Reflections on a Decade of Transformative Community-Engaged Learning with Indigenous Shuar Communities in Ecuador
5. Assessing the impact of local community service on student learning and engagement
6. Developing a Community-Based Global Learning Collaborative Hub for Asia-Pacific Region
7. University-NGO partnerships in South Asia: A case study of reciprocity and community benefits
8. Grappling with Fair-Trade Learning across 10 countries

Plenary sessions will explore the intersection of liberating structures and assessment, as well as "AI, Global Citizenship, and Future Making."

This summit presents an excellent opportunity for GW faculty and administrators interested in community-based global learning to connect with peers, share experiences, and explore innovative approaches in the field.
