The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation has launched the third round of its 100&Change competition, offering a single $100 million grant to address a critical social challenge. The competition seeks proposals that promise significant and durable change, with a new focus on advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The 100&Change competition is open to any organization or legal entity, except government agencies. Collaborative applications are welcome. Ideas can come from any field or sector, but solutions must be impactful, evidence-based, feasible, durable, and just.
The selection process includes:
- Initial scoring of all valid applications
- Peer review within the same domain
- Review by a Wise Head Panel for top 500 applications
- Selection of up to five finalists in spring 2024
- Winner announcement in winter 2025
