Julian Clement Chase Prize Awards Ceremony: Oct 21, 7pm

This year's virtual Julian Clement Chase Prize ceremony features Brigette Rouson, principal of Rouson Associates, who will bring an equity frame to organizational change in her talk, "Liberating Powers: Community Building in Word, in Deed.”The 2021 awardee, Chase Kleber will present material from his prize-winning essay, "Sundays in the Park.” The 2021 awardee, Beatrice Mount, will also share her research.   REGISTER HERE

The ceremony and reception honor exceptional research writing about the District of Columbia. The ceremony kicks off the University Writing and Research Conference.

The GW University Writing Program’s Julian Clement Chase Prize recognizes exceptional research writing projects focused on the District of Columbia. Winning students receive $1,000 and present their research at the Julian Clement Chase Award Ceremony each fall. Prizewinners are also invited to present a keynote speech at the University Writing Program's Writing and Research Conference. The deadline to submit applications for this year's award is May 24, 2022.
