HumanitiesDC is now accepting proposals for the DC Community Heritage Project Grant (DCCHP) and the DC Documentary Partnership Grant (DCDP).
The DC Community Heritage Project awardees will preserve and illuminate the stories of go-go and jazz music in Washington, DC. Potential projects may focus on individual musicians, bands, shows, venues, fans, recordings, cultural expression, etc. Grantees will receive up to $5,000.
The DC Documentary Partnership is accepting proposals to fund the post-production of a documentary short or feature film that tells a humanities story about Washington, DC. Successful proposals should be in or near post-production, with no less than 80% of production complete. Projects can receive up to $20,000 for a short and $35,000 for a feature.
The DCCHP (due April 23) and DCDP (due May 3) awards are granted with funds from the Washington, DC government via the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
