What’s a UHPer gotta do around here to finish their Honors senior requirements??
Come by the Club Room on Tuesday, September 6th between 6 and 7 for an info session about Honors senior requirements.Professors Ralkowski and Trullinger will be on deck to talk about the ins and outs of writing a thesis and Catherine and Mary will be there to discuss all things UHP requirements. There will be lots of opportunities to ask questions and eat (captain) cookies.
Juniors and seniors are (highly) encouraged to attend! If you can’t make it to this info session, you can make an appointment with Catherine or Mary to talk senior reqs.

Thesis Working Group w/ Profs. Ralkowski and Trullinger
Professors Ralkowski and Trullinger are starting up a Thesis Working Group, and the first meeting will be Friday, November 13th at 2:00pm in the UHP Club Room. All seniors are welcome! Maybe you’re in the middle of writing your thesis and you want to share some tips with people who are just getting started. Maybe you haven’t started and you can’t stop procrastinating. Or maybe you just want to hear about the projects that your classmates are working on. Whatever your situation is, come by, have a snack, have some coffee, and join the conversation! Think of this as a stress-reducing support group, an opportunity to share the thesis writing experience with classmates and professors. We are all in it together.
We will be meeting about twice a month for the rest of the academic year. The idea is to stop by for as long as you want, and to come when you can—if you can’t make it on November 13th, maybe you can come to the meeting after Thanksgiving. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Senior thesis has got you down? Join the UHP Senior Thesis Working Group!
We will be meeting twice before the end of the semester with Dr. Eyal Aviv to talk out our challenges with senior thesis writing. All are welcome, whether you come for commiseration, troubleshooting, advice, feedback or just refreshments (especially designed to combat writers’ block and stress).
We will meet on Thursday 4/17 (Club Room) and Wednesday 4/23 (Basement) between 5-7PM at the Honors townhouse in Foggy Bottom.
Do You Need an Honors Contract? [Deadline]
If you’re taking a contract course, make sure to get your Honors Contract complete.
How do you know if you need to complete an Honors Contract? If any of these apply to you:
- Internship for Honors credit,
- Undergraduate Research,
- Research Assistantship,
- Senior Thesis (Not the same as Special Honors in your degree — that’s a different form found here)
