Hi UHP-ers!
My name is Kate Jones, and I graduated from GW (and the UHP!) in May 2018 with a BS in Economics and Statistics. I am writing to let you know about opportunities at Bates White Economic Consulting.
Bates White is an economic consulting firm in Washington, DC that specializes in solving complex economic problems. We provide expert testimony and litigation support in a wide range of areas including antitrust, environmental and product liability, mergers, healthcare, and finance. Bates White has been consistently recognized as a top consulting firm in our industry – among other distinctions, we have been named a “Top Workplace” by The Washington Post since 2016.
We are now actively recruiting seniors who can begin working after graduation as full-time consultants. We are also recruiting juniors for our top ten ranked Summer Consultant Program, which provides opportunities to develop both quantitative and qualitative skills while making meaningful contributions to the firm. Our work exists at the intersection of law, economics, data analytics, and business, and we seek a diverse set of applicants over a wide range of majors. Spring Internship Opportunity: Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici

The office of Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici (OR-01) is seeking unpaid interns for spring 2016. Interns in the Washington, D.C. office will gain valuable experience supporting legislative staff and will learn about the operations of a congressional office. Responsibilities will include: conducting legislative research, providing office support, answering phones, assisting with constituent correspondence, leading tours of the U.S. Capitol, and assisting staff with projects as assigned. Interns in the district office in Beaverton, Oregon will assist the outreach staff and caseworkers, research policy issues, help with constituent communication through mail and phone calls and attend meetings with the Congresswoman. Successful candidates will demonstrate professionalism, strong communication skills, and an interest in learning more about the legislative process.
