Join Prof. Ralkowski, GWTRAiLS, and other Honors students for a hike at the nearby Great Falls National Park’s Billy Goat trail on Saturday, September 20th, 2014.  Registration required!
Register now for your seat — we’ll provide transportation (a 30-minute bus ride), and the whole affair will go from 10am to about 3:30pm.

CAMPUS-WIDE MOMENT OF SILENCE
8:46 a.m.
 The George Washington University will observe a moment of silence to remember the victims and heroes of September 11, 2001. We ask that, to the extent possible, all members of the GW community pause in their academic and professional activities for one minute at 8:46 a.m. The carillon bells on the Foggy Bottom and Mount Vernon campuses will toll for the duration of the moment of silence.

The event will honor the memory of the nine GW alumni who died in the September 11 tragedy as well as all of those who lost their lives as a result of the attacks that day. The observance is open to the entire GW community and all friends of the university. Please join us as we remember those who died and those who have subsequently risked their lives to protect our nation. The rain location is Marc C. Honors Program freshmen: don’t miss the Honors Community Welcome on Sunday, August 24th starting at 11am in Ames B101 at the Mt. Vernon Campus!
This is the premier kickoff event exclusively for Honors freshmen — meet each other, your faculty, the Student Peer Advisors, and also get some cool Honors swag. We’ll also dish on some of the program requirements so you’ll know where to get all the info you need to be successful.
Sign-in starts at 11am and we’ll wrap up by 3pm.  (We’ll provide lunch, too!)

Coming out of Battle of the A Capellas with the award for Best Soloists, the Troubs are ready to celebrate with their fans and friends with a kick-ass show. We’ll be debuting some brand new arrangements and singing some old favorites, all while bidding our graduating seniors a fond farewell.

ABOUT THE TROUBS: The GW Troubadours is a co-ed a cappella group here at The George Washington University. We sing a collection of genres and artists, from John Legend and Sara Bareilles to Coldplay and The Fray. Over the last couple of years, we have performed at events big and small – from the Republican Presidential Primary Debate at Constitution Hall, to The White House, and even to American Idol!

Professor Houston Miller and his Science and Discovery Climate class look forward to presenting the C02 sensors they have created throughout the semester. They have designed wireless C02 monitors and have stationed them throughout GW to demonstrate the varying levels of C02 present on our campus.
