Interested in Entering Health Professions?

If you’re a student interested in pursuing a career in the health fields, GW has a new advising program especially for you: Health Professions Advising.

There are two Health Professions Advisors at GW:

  • Amy Serridge (advises students whose last names begin with the letters A-K)
  • Sarah Krauss (advises students whose last names begin with the letters L-Z)

The Health Professions Advisors are housed in the Pre-Professional Advising Office in Smith Hall 118.

Advisors are available to meet with students by appointment only. Advisors meet with students and alumni from all GW colleges to provide information and guidance on the process of applying to health professions schools. To schedule an appointment please call the front desk at (202) 994-6210. We also encourage you to familiarize yourself with our website before your first advising session.
IF YOU ARE A FRESHMAN: You must attend a pre-medical workshop before meeting with an advisor. These are offered weekly during the fall semester. Workshops are geared toward pre-medical students, but will also be helpful for students interested in other health professions. Workshops are in Phillips 107.Reserve a spot by calling the CCAS Advising office at (202) 994-6210.
