Have you considered applying for the Elliott School Undergraduate Scholars Program?
This year, Preston Whitt and Carly Nuttal (two UHP seniors, see this blog post) participated and highly recommend the experience. They honed their research skills and received a $500 stipend to investigate questions of pressing interest to themselves and to their fields, and the Elliott School will publish their final products as an academic journal. In addition, they presented their findings to local academic conference, satisfied their UHP Special Honors requirements, and made lasting professional and mentor relationships with their faculty advisors.
If you are thinking about applying, stop by the UHP Townhouse this Thursday (4/4/13) evening from 7:00-9:00 pm. Preston will be on hand to answer any questions about the program or look over your proposal to offer advice.
