Introducing the UHP Research Workshop! Just like your major, you probably already know how to research. But you’re at GW to learn to be a pro. So ESIA Senior and UHP Staffer Preston Whitt has been trained by the GW Research Librarians to help answer such important research questions as:
• What magickry gets me the best results from all these databases?
• How do I cite my work in APA/Chicago/Special-Ornery-Professor-
Style?
• Oh primary sources, where art thou?
• I need the big guns. How do I find a librarian to aid my research?
Whether you need to fine-tune your selection of Chinese journals to accurately defend your thesis, or if you don’t even know how to write a thesis statement; whether you need help choosing between a million sources or just finding the first one; whether you need someone to check your 2010 APA-style citations or don’t even know where to put your
references, the Research Workshop can help.
From 5:00 to 6:30 on Tuesdays in the Foggy Townhouse , the UHP can assist you with your research process. Preston will post reminders and any changes on Facebook (so ‘like’ us!). If you have a BIG research project, feel free to email uhp@gwu.edu beforehand. That way Preston knows to bring his Special Research Glasses to help you get the most from the session.
