About the Dean’s Scholars Journal

The ESIA Dean’s Scholars Journal is the official publication of the ESIA Dean’s Scholars Program, a two-year program for Juniors and Seniors in the Elliott School interested in expanding their knowledge of the field of international affairs. This journal presents analytical papers, extended research papers, and alumni spotlights reviewed by their peers. Through this journal, our scholars publish and reflect upon their research and the valuable opportunities and skills they gained through the program. Our scholars will not only be publishing their projects, but will also share their unique experiences with research and reflections on fellowship and graduate school opportunities.

More about the Dean’s Scholars Program

The Dean’s Scholars Program is an intensive research opportunity for undergraduate students where students will develop their research and communication skills as they construct a research project and work alongside a faculty mentor. Students will have a completed research project and will have the opportunity to present their academic research at conferences and prepare for publication through the Dean’s Scholars Journal.

The program is a two-year commitment and scholars are required to take two 3-credit courses and a 1-credit seminar throughout the duration of the program. For more information or if you have any questions, please contact Dr. Alexander Cromwell, Associate Director of the Dean’s Scholars Program, at esiascholars@gwu.edu.
