Submitting an Event

When submitting an event to the GW Events Calendar, there are a few things to keep in mind to make sure that it ends up on the Elliott School event page and promoted through our platforms.

  1. Event Host question: In the “Event Host” field of the submission form, type in the GW/Elliott School organization, department, institute, or center that is sponsoring the event. Multiple groups can be selected if your event has several co-hosts. If you don’t find your organization in the options, please reach out to Olivia Burke, Elliott School Web Lead (oburke@gwu.edu), to request adding your group to the list.
  2. Submit your event by Thursday, close of business, in order to have your event included in Public Affairs’ Monday newsletter which goes out to the Elliott School community.
  3. Review the University Calendar best practices page for guidance on image use, event descriptions, and event names.
