The Generations Dialogue Project (GDP) is the start of an unwavering movement that seeks to close the diversity gap within the field of International Affairs. Developed from the book The Young Black Leader’s Guide to a Successful Career in International Affairs: What the Giants Want You to Know, The GDP aims to build the next generation of foreign policy leaders for a more representative US foreign policy.
The lessons and content of The Young Black Leader’s Guide forms the basis for our target outreach, designed to expose young people, particularly those who are under-represented in international affairs, to the possibility of American foreign policy careers, introduce them to accomplished foreign policy giants who look like them, and provide guidance for them to succeed in these careers.
