OMH HBV Evaluation

Overview

The HBV study is a large-scale academic-community-government partnership with the aims to make a dramatic impact on HBV infection. We focus on the delivery of prompt, responsive, and efficient care for Asian and African immigrants born in countries where HBV infection is endemic. We use interview and survey methods to identify facilitators and barriers to HBV testing, vaccination, and treatment in the WBMA.

Objectives of the Study

  • Identify facilitators and barriers to academic-community-government (ACG) partnership project which focuses on Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) testing, vaccination, and treatment to reduce liver diseases in the Washington-Baltimore metropolitan area (WBMA).
  • Present context on how we can effectively move forward in the implementation of this ACG partnership project.
