Up to Two Gold Awards

Winners will receive the Gold Award Certificate and one of the following 3 awards of their choice:

1. Winners will receive a full scholarship to complete a Master’s Degree at Nanjing University (2-3 Years). The scholarship will be covered by Chinese Sponsors, which includes full tuition, housing, medical insurance and monthly stipend of 3,000 RMB. Medical Insurance needs to be provided by a company which is approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Gold Award winners may apply for any Master’s Program offered at Nanjing University, except the program at the Hopkins-Nanjing Center. Applicants choosing this option should start no later than Fall 2022. Applicants must complete all necessary steps, including completing online application and submitting all required materials to NJU, in order to be awarded the scholarship. 2. Winners will receive a scholarship toward tuition from the Institute of International Students of Nanjing University to study Chinese at Nanjing University for a full semester, which will be September to December of either 2021 or 2022. In addition to the tuition support, winners will receive a total stipend of USD $1,500 towards international airfare, contingent upon student fulfilling required reimbursement procedures set by NJU. If you choose this award option, please contact the Advising Office and Study Abroad Office of your home institution to verify credit transfer and other related matters.
3. Winners can also choose the “Eight-Day Tour in Jiangsu Province” in Summer 2021 or 2022; the tour will be fully funded by the Chinese Sponsors.

Up to Six Silver Awards

Winners will receive the Silver Award Certificate and one of the following 2 awards of their choice:

1. Winners will enjoy an 8-day cultural & experiential learning tour of Jiangsu province in Summer of 2021 or 2022. The Chinese Sponsors are funding all of the costs associated with this tour, including one round-trip international airfare, local lodging, meal and local transportation in China. The Silver Award recipients are responsible for obtaining visas to China, initial purchase of flight ticket and the purchase of their own medical insurance. 2. Winners will receive a scholarship toward tuition from the Institute of International Students of Nanjing University to study Chinese at Nanjing University for a full semester, in September to December of 2021 or 2022. In addition to the tuition support, winners will receive a total stipend USD $ 750 towards international airfare. If you choose this award option, please contact the study abroad office of your home institution to verify credit transfer and other related matters.  The Silver Award recipients are responsible for obtaining visas to China, initial purchase of flight ticket and the purchase of their own medical insurance. Up to Ten Bronze Awards

Winners will receive the Bronze Award Certificate and the following award:

1. Winners will receive a scholarship toward tuition from the Institute of International Students of Nanjing University to study Chinese at Nanjing University for a short-term summer language program from Early to Late July 2021 or 2022.  If you choose this award option, please contact the study abroad office of your home institution to verify credit transfer and other related matters.
