Nomination Period
- 11/6/2020 - 2/19/2021: Participating universities need to return the nomination form by the deadline, recommending up to 8 student contestants for each institution for the 2021 GW Annual Chinese Speech Contest. Each school or institute should notify nominated students to visit our website and follow registration guidelines.
Preliminary Round
- 2/19/2021 - 3/8/2021: Nominated students complete registration and upload videos. All contestants should follow the guidelines for the preliminary round and submit the online application form.
- 03/08/2021 - 03/12/2021: The Contest Committee will review all the applications and select the finalists.
- 03/12/2021: The Contest Committee will announce the finalists who have successfully advanced to the Final Round.
Contestants who are not selected to participate in the Final Round will still be invited to attend the Final Round and each will receive a “Special Award Certificate” as well as other forms of recognition. These students may also remain eligible to apply for future Contests.
Final Round
- 4/10/2021: Final Competition will be held via Zoom, with the Award Ceremony following shortly afterwards. Learn more about the Final Competition Program.
