In mid-February, CCAS headed to Colombia and Mexico to represent our graduate programs at the QS World Grad School Tour in Bogota, Cali, and Mexico City. We particularly wanted to promote a scholarship opportunity, called the international graduate funding initiative. Similar to our Minority-Serving Institution Award, this award aims to increase diversity, but eligibility for the award is based on a person’s citizenship rather than undergraduate institution.
An international graduate funding initiative is available to qualified students from:
- Bangladesh
- Brazil
- Colombia
- Ghana
- India
- Indonesia
- Mexico
- Nigeria
- Pakistan
- Turkey
- Vietnam
To qualify, students must be:
- citizens of one of the countries eligible for this initiative;
- studying on an F-1 visa; and
- be admitted to and enroll in an on-campus master’s program.
Even Flat Stanley tagged along, dressed in his GW finest, ready to recruit CCAS graduate students. He found great joy in taking several pictures every step of the way. Take a look at his journey!
