So you’ve submitted your application and are waiting on a decision, or maybe you’re waiting for a big midterm grade to post. How, oh how do you deal with the stress of waiting? I asked the office of Graduate Student Services for their best stress, and time busting tips!
First… BREATHE!
Assistant Director of Recruitment, Lindsey Duble-Dice recommends taking a moment to just concentrate on your breath. “It can really help relieve stress and anxiety” Lindsey says, “I will sometimes take a few minutes alone in my office and it makes a world of difference!” Follow the gif below to give it a shot!
Take up knitting!

Make sure your financial aid is in order
A slightly more practical piece of advice, from Associate Director, Katherine Conaty, but a very important one! Make sure you’ve checked out all of the helpful information on https://financialaid.gwu.edu/ to ensure you’re all set with your financial aid documents. If you’re admitted, it will make the decision making process so much easier!
