Response letters will be sent soon

Many thanks to all of you who submitted papers for consideration for the “The Power and Politics of Localization” research conference, which will be held at the George Washington University on February 22-23, 2024.

We received many high-quality submissions and will be reaching out to those of you whose paper has been accepted. To those whose projects were very interesting but not a fit for the conference, we will continue to engage with you and your work, and encourage you to apply to future calls for papers hosted by the Humanitarian Action Initiative.

More news will follow regarding the conference. Here are some important dates to note:

• Please reply to paper acceptance letters (sent the week of 11/6) by November 20, 2023.
• Deadline for submitting accepted papers to the conference organizers: February 1, 2024.
• Papers should be approximately 7,000-8,000 words in length maximum. Email to Anne Hopewell ahope@email.gwu.edu
