Aiming to understand the fundamental principles of living systems at the scales of molecules, genomes and cells, we conduct highly interdisciplinary research in the areas of computational biology, systems biology, bioinformatics, and computational biological physics. Interested in information encoding and processing at the microscopic level, we focus our research on gene regulation and epigenetics. With multi-omics data sets as input, we employ statistical modeling, advanced machine learning and biophysics-based principled methodologies to identify novel mechanisms of gene regulation and decipher the gene regulatory network in immune and other systems.
