During the 2000-2001 academic year, Natalia Totskaya was a visiting research professor at The George Washington University, affiliated with the Research Program in Social and Organizational Learning. Her stay in the USA was supported by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S.Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and is administered by the American Council of Teachers of Russian. Her mentor at GW was Professor Charles Toftoy.Natalia Totskaya is a professor in the Chair of Construction Economics and Investments at Novosibirsk State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Novosibirsk, Russia. She teaches courses on Innovation Marketing, Risk of Business Undertakings, Risk and Insurance in the Construction Industry, and Real Estate Activities. Her research interests are innovations, small business, and entrepreneurship. Natalia Totskaya received an Economist Mathematician degree from Novosibirsk State University in Novosibirsk, Russia, and a Kandidatskaya degree in Economics and Management from Novosibirsk State Civil Engineering Academy in Novosibirsk, Russia in 1997.
