Konstantin Mekhonoshin was a visiting scholar from Russia during the 2004-2005 academic year at The George Washington University. His time in the U.S. was sponsored by the Junior Faculty Development Program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. His mentor at GWU was Professor William Halal.
Mr. Mekhonoshin received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland University College in 1997. He has two masters degrees from Irkutsk State University: 1998 – a degree in business administration, 2002 – a degree in law. In 2002 he defended his thesis for a PhD in management and economics, “Developing a firm’s competitiveness on the basis of knowledge management” in Perm State University. That year he also studied Corporate Governance at Schulich School of Business, York University in Toronto (Canada). He held a position of deputy dean in the Siberian-American School of Management in Baikal Institute of Business and International Management. As a senior lecturer he taught such courses as Strategic Management, Knowledge Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, Supply Chain Analysis (University of Southern Queensland – Australia), Introduction to Business and Management (University of Maryland University College) and others.
