Naira R. Matevosyan

Visiting Scholars
                             

During the academic year of 2000-2001, Dr. Naira R. Matevosyan was a visiting research professor at the George Washington University, Washington, DC. Her visit was administered by the Regional Scholar Exchange Program of the American Council.

An OB/GYN doctor (M.D, Ph.D), Naira R. Matevosyan also holds a law degree (Masters of Science in Jurisprudence) from Seton Hall University Law School (Newark, NJ). Naira is a member of the Federal Bar Association (FBA), and a partner with the New European Surgical Academy (NESA).

With elective residency in Obstetrics-Gynecology from Vienna University (Austria), Dr. Matevosyan then stepped-up with training in Public Health from Emory University (a Fulbright-granted Humphrey fellowship program), and Psychology from Boston University (a post-doctoral program). Invested by the IPPF (Brussels Office), the CIDA, the UNFPA, and the George Soros Foundation, Naira has conducted studies in Belgium, Canada, Hungary, and Sweden.

Dr. Naira R. Matevosyan immigrated to the United States with merits (an EB2-NIW category which reads, “an individual with advanced degrees or exceptional abilities in the U.S. National Interest”).

Published under two names (Naira R. Matevosyan, Naira Roland Matevosyan) and in three languages (English, German, Russian), Dr. Matevosyan authors over 70 scientific works in maternal-infant health, reproductive health, surgery, immunology, legal studies, health law and policy, and forensic psychology. Some are available at PubMed,SpringerLink, ResearchGate, and GoogleScholar.
