Widgets

Widgets are content blocks that enhance site layout and functionality of your website. The settings are global – meaning they will display on all pages. And they are most often found in the sidebars and footers of WordPress websites (this will be determined by which theme you select for your website).

Widgets often house dynamic feeds of information, like events and your latest blog posts. They can also provide a frontend display of plugins that have been activated.

In The 19th Street theme, there are two widget areas in the footer – each using 50% of the available space.

Widgets can be added via the Customize interfaceOpens in a new window or under Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets.
