Welcome to the Thermo Fluids Lab

The Thermo Fluids Laboratory at the George Washington University focuses on fluid dynamics and heat transfer experimental measurements coupled with numerical simulations. The research is applied to free surface turbulence, chemically reacting flows and the use of substitute fluids to experimentally reproduce heat and momentum transfers in high-temperature molten-salts and high-pressure Helium systems for solar thermal energy, in particular thermal energy storage, and GEN IV advanced nuclear reactors.
