For those investigators interested in developing expertise in clinical research, the NIH Clinical Center's Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Clinical Research (IPPCR) course trains registrants on how to effectively and safely conduct clinical research. Registration opens October 1, 2018.
The course focuses on the spectrum of clinical research and the research process by highlighting biostatistical and epidemiologic methods, study design, protocol preparation, patient monitoring, quality assurance, ethical and legal issues, and much more.
This course is offered at no cost.
The course is conducted via an online format through about 40 hours of recorded lectures and an online discussion board for participants to submit questions to faculty. An electronic Certificate of Completion is awarded to each registered participant who achieves a score of 75% or higher on the final exam.
Course completion builds your research skills and demonstrates commitment to a career in clinical research to potential funders.
