Culinary Medicine Elective 

The 2-week Culinary Medicine elective is offered during the fall and spring semester to third- and fourth-year medical students and provides students the skills  to teach patients how to incorporate healthy eating for the prevention and treatment of disease by altering their diets, meal preparation and food choices. The Culinary Medicine elective is based on the Health meets Food Culinary Medicine courseware used at over 60 academic medical centers.

Culinary Medicine Clerkship 

This clerkship builds off of our established and highly sought after IDIS 307 elective and allows 1 to 2 students to participate in a 4 week clerkship to develop advanced Culinary Medicine skills by engaging with high quality didactic lectures and modules, improving counseling and cooking efficacy, leading and teaching cooking classes for community, trainees, and faculty, and engaging with a scholarly project opportunity.
