Overview
Dr. Boyes joined the Department of Chemistry at the George Washington University in the Fall of 2019. Prior to joining the faculty at GW, Dr. Boyes was an Assistant Professor and then Associate Professor at the Colorado School of Mines in the Department of Chemistry. His research focuses on the application of polymer modified surfaces in water desalination/purification, targeted nanomedicines, and tissue engineering. Dr. Boyes has mentored 13 graduate students and over 80 undergraduate research students, has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers, and his research has been funded by numerous agencies including the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
