Katherine M. Burns, PhD

Katherine M. Burns, PhD received her BA from Georgetown University and graduated from GWU in 2014. During her time at GWU, she was student director of the Meltzer Center, our program’s clinic. She assisted Dr. Rohrbeck with data collection from a local community sample and created the emergency preparedness self-efficacy scale used in our subsequent studies. After GW, Katie completed an internship and a two-year post-doc in neuropsychology at MHBS, James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, Tampa, Florida. Katie is now working as a neuropsychologist at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. She works with active duty service members with traumatic brain injuries. Katie is married and has two children.
