The symposia will address two key questions:

A. How can institutions build equity into community research partnerships?
B. How can partnering with facilitator organizations help projects be more equitable?

Speakers will discuss strategies for building equitable partnerships between academic institutions and community organizations in various contexts, including public health and aquatic species monitoring. They will also explore how facilitator organizations like museums, schools, and libraries can help make projects more equitable.

Confirmed speakers include:

- Dani Lin Hunter, Research Manager at the North Carolina Environmental Justice Network
- Paige Castro-Reyes, Deputy Director of Community-Campus Partnerships for Health
- Tamra Mendelson, Director of ICARE at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County
