My name is Maddy Carroll and I am originally from the south side of Chicago! I went to Mother McAuley Liberal Arts High school and have now begun my journey at George Washington.
I am majoring in biomedical engineering in SEAS and I hope to develop surgical devices or get involved in tissue engineering one day. Biomedical engineering focuses on technological advancements in the medical field and the development of equipment better suited to improve lives. I discovered the world of BME through my dad who represents a surgical device firm called Arthrex. I was immediately interested in the orthopedic devices I saw, but knew I wanted to go an alternate direction in the same field.
