I’m Lily Ana Samoyan, a 20-year-old she/her who attends George Washington University as a Mechanical Engineering major, with a concentration in the Aerospace field and an interest in participating in GWU’s 5 Years Master’s Program.

Home Life and Hometown

I live in Sicklerville, NJ and I was born in Camden, NJ. As my last name dictates, and I am Armenian.

I love sports. During high school, I played varsity Field Hockey and Softball, and was the captain of both of those teams. I will play any pickup sport/game, and love watching my Philadelphia teams play.

In high school, I was top of my class. I actually was named Salutatorian by my school, but they ran the grades too early due to COVID and their policy when I was announced as that. It turns out, by the end, I was actually first in my class and Valedictorian. However, I’m not allowed to call myself Valedictorian, only first in my class according to my school board.

I live with my two younger siblings and both of my parents. Throughout the past 7 years, I’ve worked as a hostess, manager of hostesses, waitress, worked for a tenting business, landscaping, interned for a defense contractor, learning assistant, and as a part-time employee for a support contractor of the US DoD.
