Diversity can be defined as having a mixture of people from different backgrounds and walks of life. This concept is especially important in the STEM field because it allows for many different perspectives. Getting feedback and brainstorming on a project is vital to its success. By having people from different cultures and backgrounds collaborate it can be easier to find a solution or multiple solutions. Equity and inclusion are important for the same reason but give resources to those who don’t have them so that they can be part of these projects and receive the opportunities and schooling to do so. All three concepts work together to ensure that everyone gets a fair chance to make change and they speed up the process by offering a broad array of perspectives.
