The conference will take place at the George Washington University in the center of Washington, DC, on the main campus in Foggy Bottom. All conference sessions will take place in the University Student Center, located in the center of campus, at the corner of H and 21st Streets in Northwest Washington. GWU is a short walk from key government and cultural organizations, from the State Department and the White House to the museums and monuments on the National Mall.
Travel
There are three airports in the area: Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). The Reagan Airport is the closest to campus, located in Arlington. From the airport, you can take the metro directly to the Foggy Bottom station on campus, or a station near your hotel. To get from Baltimore/Washington Airport into DC, you can take a MARC Train to Union Station and then transfer to the Metro. From Dulles, you can take the 5A bus or ride the Silver Line Express Bus to the Silver Line's Wiehle-Reston East station before transferring to a Metro train. There are also taxis and rental cars available at each airport.
Getting Around
Public Transportation
The best way to travel within DC is by using the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) public transportation system, which includes the "Metro" (subway trains) and buses.
Parking
On GW campus, there are paid parking garage locations at the following buildings: Science and Engineering Hall, University Student Center, G Street, and the Elliot School. Parking prices are listed on the university website. There are also multiple off campus parking garages in the area.
