Symposium

HMM 2015 - May 18-20, 2015 - Iasi, Romania

HMM2015

The International Symposium on Hysteresis Modeling and Micromagnetics (HMM) has been designed as an interdisciplinary international forum for discussion of the most recent advancements in domains of science and technology related to hysteresis modeling and micromagnetics. HMM Symposium offers an opportunity to the scientists with various backgrounds (physicists, mathematicians, engineers, material scientists, etc) to exchange ideas, experiences and to present their most recent results.
The 10th edition of HMM will have a three days scientific program structured in different sessions dedicated to topics of interest for the scientists working in hysteresis and micromagnetics. The program will contain invited and contributed talks and several poster sessions will be also organized. The jubilee 10th HMM edition will be held in Iasi, Romania, the former capital of the Principality of Moldavia between 1564 and 1859. Iasi is one of the most important education and research centers in Romania, home to the oldest University and to the first engineering school in the country. The city has many cultural landmarks (Palace of Culture, National Theater, University Palace, Central University Library, about 100 historical churches and monasteries, etc.).

HMM 2013 - May 13-15, 2013, Taormina, Italy

HMM2013

The 9th International Symposium on Hysteresis and Micromagnetics Modeling - HMM 2013 will take place at Hotel Villa Diodoro in Taormina, Italy.
HMM 2013 will be a forum for presentation and discussion of the most recent advancements in the fields of hysteresis modeling, micromagnetics, and in the experimental fields where this kind of modeling is necessary. Scientists with different backgrounds (physicists, mathematicians, material scientists, engineers, etc) are welcome to exchange ideas, methods and results. The scientific program of this 3-day symposium will consist of invited and contributed talks and posters, organized in different thematic sessions.
Participants will also appreciate the symposium location, one of the most popular destinations in Sicily. Taormina, in fact, offers beautiful beaches on the warm Ionian sea, a scenic view on the Etna volcano, an ancient Greek theatre, old churches, lively bars, fine restaurants, antique shops.

HMM 2011 - May 9-11, 2011 - Levico, Italy

HMM2011

The 8th International Symposium on Hysteresis and Micromagnetics Modeling - HMM 2011 took place in Trento, Italy.
This Symposium was intended to be a forum for presentation and discussion of the most recent advancements in the fields of hysteresis modeling and computational micromagnetics. The aim was, in fact, to bring together scientists with a wide range of backgrounds (physicists, mathematicians, material scientists, engineers, etc) to exchange ideas, methods and results. Although special emphasis was made on magnetic hysteresis, there were sessions in the program focused on universal aspects of hysteresis, independently of its origin. The scientific program of this 3-day symposium consisted of invited and contributed talks and posters, organized in different thematic sessions.

HMM 2009 - May 11-14, 2009 -Gaithersburg, MD, USA

The 7th International Symposium on Hysteresis and Micromagnetics Modeling - HMM 2009 took place on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), USA.
The Symposium was intended to be a forum for presentation and discussion of the most recent advancements in the fields of hysteresis modeling and computational micromagnetics. Continuing with the tradition of previous HMM symposia, HMM-2009 had a strong interdisciplinary emphasis. The aim was to bring together scientists with a wide range of backgrounds (physicists, mathematicians, material scientists, engineers, etc) to exchange ideas, methods and results. Although special emphasis was made on magnetic hysteresis, there were sessions in the program focused on universal aspects of hysteresis, independent of its origin.

HMM 2007 - June 4-6, 2007 - Naples, Italy

The 6th International Symposium on Hysteresis and Micromagnetics Modeling - HMM 2007 took place in Naples, Italy.

HMM 2005 - May 30-June 1, 2005 - Budapest, Hungary

The 5th International Symposium on Hysteresis and Micromagnetics Modeling - HMM 2005 took place in Budapest, Hungary.

HMM 2003 - May 28-30, 2003 - Salamanca, Spain

The 4th International Symposium on Hysteresis and Micromagnetics Modeling - HMM 2003 took place on the University of Salamanca, Spain. This Symposium addressed recent theories, measurements, and other developments in hysteresis. The primary focus was on magnetics, either from a macroscopic or microscopic point of view. This Symposium provided a special occasion for engineers, mathematicians and physicists to present and exchange ideas, methods and results.
