Teach for America Undergraduate Internship

Teach For America seeks outstanding leaders to join our regional and efforts in placing teachers in DC classrooms, supporting our teachers, and supporting our regional and national staffs. 
Internship Responsibilities may include:

  • ·         A key focus of this internship is providing professional development for interns. A portion of time will be spent learning about Teach For America, our mission, and the broader education landscape.
  • ·         Learn about top qualities that employers look for and cultivate those skills
  • ·         Support regional recruitment efforts through database management, marketing design, event planning and social media outreach
  • ·         Support regional partnerships and district placement in DC and Prince George’s County.
  • ·         Support our relationship building efforts with lawmakers, local non-profits agencies, and various other partners.
  • ·         Develop excellent organizational and time management systems.
  • ·         Learn more about working at a top non-profit organization.
  • ·         Work actively towards the mission of closing the achievement gap and eliminating educational inequity.
  • ·         Interns will set their own hours (apx. 4-6 hours per week) and work in the Teach For America D.C.  office located at 14th and K St. NW.
  • ·         Interns will begin in November and run through the end of the academic year. (will discuss specific timing during interview)
