GW-IBS Students Win Awards at the Children’s National Research, Education, & Innovation Week 2023

From Monday April 17th-Thursday April 20th, the George Washington Integrated Biomedical Sciences (GW-IBS) students participated in the Children’s National Hospital (CNH) Research, Education & Innovation Week 2023. The theme for this year’s CNH research week was “Mental Health: Building Resilience.” Keynote speakers presented each day and poster sessions were held Monday-Wednesday in the Costco Main Atrium from 1-3 pm. The award ceremony was held on Thursday.

GW-IBS student Amara Ayoub (Ph.D. candidate, Haydar Lab) won an award for graduate student poster in translational research. Another GW-IBS student, Susan Weiner (Ph.D. candidate, Limperopolous Lab), won an award for graduate student in clinical research.
