The concentration in curriculum and instruction prepares researchers, scholars, and leaders of educational programs in the study of curriculum, instruction, and learning towards academic, social, cultural, environmental, and civic advancement. Students develop multiple understandings of the curriculum of schools and community-based contexts; study models of complex interactions involving learners, teachers, and educational tasks; and learn to describe the lived experiences of our diverse population of students as they engage in learning both individually and collaboratively in different settings.
