Non-Degree Status

Students may start the ETL program in non-degree status but must be admitted prior to starting their second semester. Taking course work as a non-degree student at The George Washington University does NOT automatically guarantee admission into a degree program. Students seeking admission to the ETL program must submit application materials to the Admissions Office approximately 4 weeks after starting the program. (For specific information on admissions deadlines and requirements see  ETL Admissions Information.)  Courses taken in non-degree status prior to acceptance as a degree candidate will count as transfer credit.  Refer to the GSEHD Masters and Certificate Student Handbook for regulations regarding non-degree status and admissions.
