What is the GW Boot Camp on Nuclear Security Policy?
The Nuclear Security Policy Boot Camp is an intensive course on all aspects of nuclear security including arms control, nuclear weapons, nuclear energy, safeguards, and security. The program integrates in-class time with policy simulations and communications training, as well as networking and career advice from top nuclear security policy experts. Our location in Washington, DC allows us to draw internationally-known nuclear security policy experts, top scholars at universities, experts from the federal government, foreign embassies, and non-governmental organizations to serve as faculty and speakers during the program.
Who can attend the Boot Camp?
The Boot Camp is open to graduate students and early-career professionals who are currently pursuing or have already obtained a graduate degree or who have a strong interest in nuclear security policy.
Where is the Boot Camp?
In 2021, the Boot Camp will be held online.
Can I attend only a few of the sessions?
Unfortunately, not. The Boot Camp is an all-inclusive course.

How long will it take for a decision on my application?
Applications will be accepted and decisions will be made on a rolling basis. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their materials by April 26.
How much is tuition?
The 2021 course fee is $2,500. A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available based on merit and diversity.

Our organizing committee is spearheaded by: Christopher Cahill, Doug Shaw, Sharon Squassoni, and Emily Hammond.
