The Bilingual Language Development Lab is a research group in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences, directed by Dr. Cynthia Core. We study the development of speech, language, and literacy skills of children who grow up hearing two languages. We use these findings to help clinicians, such as Speech-Language Pathologists and Early Intervention Professionals, improve the care of bilingual children and their families. Research in the Bilingual Language Development Lab was supported by funding from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (PI Erika Hoff).
