The World of Street Fashion
I’ve chosen to design a museum dedicated to streetwear. The idea of this project was influenced by my personal experience. Growing up, as I started to transition into high school, I realized that I cared too much about how others perceived me. Centered around the concept of “Inner Growth”, this museum’s goal is to provide a safe space for individuals to learn about the evolution of streetwear while allowing themselves to feel confident about how they choose to express their sense of style. My concept is a combination of ” peel and radiance”. Inner growth emphasizes the experience that visitors will have as they navigate through the different spaces provided. Peeling away revolves around the idea that, as we grow, we are shedding a part of ourselves to retransform into something greater. The peeling of the ceilings is seen in prominent spaces that promote social interaction and learning.
