Our spacious lab is outfitted for conventional and inert-atmosphere synthesis, including four Schlenk lines and a brand-new (Spring 2016) glovebox.
For the characterization of our complexes, we have access, within the department, to NMR, IR, Raman, UV-vis, fluorescence and ICP-OES spectroscopies, single-crystal and powder X-Ray diffraction, mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, TGA and SQUID magnetometry with high temperature option. Thanks to all the chemistry colleagues who are sharing access to their equipment!
Fabrication and preliminary characterization of nanoscale devices takes place in the GW Nanofabrication and Imaging Center situated in the basement of our building. Devices can then be shipped to our collaborators for final analysis.
