Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The engineering solution that I came up with is a small vacuum with multiple noses that stick out in order to suck up the dust from each of the slats. At the end of each of these small noses will be a flat vacuum attachment, similar to those pictured to the right. This device will be one that is handheld and long, so that it can easily vacuum multiple slats at once and reduce the time it takes to clean the blinds. Each nose will be small enough so that it can fit between the limited space between the slats but will be flat enough that it still can clean the whole surface of the slat. It will also include a light so that dust that may be harder to see can be seen and the device will clean the blinds more effectively. It will clean around 5-10 slats at a time, depending on the size so that you can clean more slats at once. It will include a chamber that the dust is sucked into. The device will be made in multiple sizes depending on the number of slats cleaned at once so that customers can decide how large of a device they want.
