RCR Workshop: The Intersection of Human Research, Privacy, Consent and Data Sharing

Marvin Center, Room 402-404

July 25, 2019 -- 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

The Office of Research Integrity is hosting a Responsible Conduct of Research session on a case study from Duke University in which an image dataset was removed by university officials after public outcry and determinations of non-compliance.

The intersection of human subjects, privacy protections, and human rights is highlighted in
the Duke case, which also represents modern research ethics concerns for all researchers, and is applicable across all research disciplines.

Presenters
Debra Paxton, MS, CIP
Director, Office of Human Research

Rebecca Eberle, MSHS, CIP
Assistant Director, Office of Human Research

Anyone engaging in research or scholarly activity at GW including, under- and graduate students, administrative staff, researchers, postdocs and faculty, is encouraged to attend.
