Former ASP graduate and current researcher at GW, Dr. Ana María del Río-González, receives the 2022 NIH Sexual and Gender Minority Research Early-Stage Investigator Award. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sexual and Gender Minority (SGM) Research Investigator Awards Program was developed to recognize investigators who have made substantial and outstanding research contributions in areas related to SGM health. Well done and congratulations!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The McSilver Institute for Poverty Policy and Research at New York University which is committed to disrupting poverty through research, policy and action is celebrating by recognizing champions in the field. Dr. Sherry Molock was presented as the May 2022 Champion of Mental Health Equity for the institute, as her work includes research related to suicide and HIV prevention, especially for African American adolescents and young adults and in faith-based communities! Congrats on being champion, Dr. Molock!
