Dr. Grady’s teaching interests include a variety of water resources, environmental engineering, and environmental policy courses. Her teaching pedagogy is a mix of an active learning methodology and a problem based learning style. These approaches combine student-centered instruction with real-world problems to build critical thinking skills and apply technical knowledge to transdisciplinary topics. Dr. Grady has also previously organized Penn State Ethics and Engineering Case Competitions. Sponsored by the Rock Ethics Institute, this case competition gives undergraduate students the opportunity to examine real‐world issues related to engineering & business and recommend solutions that demonstrates ethical leadership. Prizes are given to the top three teams! The first annual Penn State Engineering Ethics Case Competition was held Wednesday November 15th,2017. There will not be a 2019 competition however check with Dr. Grady about future competitions.
